We accept electronics Monday- Friday, 8 am - 3 pm

We are a work unit of Community Enterprises of St. Clair County, which specializes in the employment of persons with disabilities.

Why e-Cycle?

  • E-waste is the most rapidly growing segment of the municipal solid waste.

  • E-waste contains toxic and hazardous materials including mercury, lead, cadmium, beryllium, chromium, and chemical flame retardants, which have the potential to leach into our soil and water.

  • Help conserve natural resources and the energy needed to produce new electronic equipment.

  • Electronics often contain reusable parts.

Our Mission

The mission of CE Electronics Recycling is to provide a cost-effective, environmentally safe program that will fill the need for electronic waste recycling and assist us in meeting our primary mission of providing job training and employment opportunities to people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Our Goal

The goal of CE Electronics Recycling is to be the industry leader in E-waste recycling. We will maintain our reputation for quality and for safe, reliable recycling service.

While advances in technology give consumers the availability to upgrade to newer, more energy-efficient electronics products, it is also important to remember that older electronic devices may not have reached the end of their useful life. Many times parts within these units are able to be reused, cutting down on waste and energy used to manufacture these parts again.

According to a January 2019 report from the World Economic Forum, e-waste is now the fastest-growing waste stream in the world, with an estimated waste stream of 48.5 million tons in 2018.

Community Enterprises Electronics Recycling will process your unwanted electronics and separate them into raw materials, which we can successfully divert from landfills and incinerators toward the manufacture of new products, at the same time, we create sustainable jobs that enable people with significant disabilities to become known as stewards of the environment. Community Enterprises strives to provide employment opportunities for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities while also helping to protect the environment.

We contacted Community Enterprises regarding our old electronics, and they had a crew of people and a truck come to our office to pick everything up. Everyone was professional, efficient and very friendly, as always. We feel confident that all materials were taken care of safely and confidentially. We would recommend this service for all shredding and electronics recycling needs.
